Ella at 2 months

Baby Girl turned 2 months last week.  I took the opportunity to shoot a few photos to mark the occasion.  Since Baden's first year photos were all beside his stocking since he was a Christmas Eve baby, we figured Ella needed an object for comparison as well.  Still debating on the cute owl Aunt Maggie and family gave her, or the cute teddy bear.                

 

 

 She's already getting so big.  At her 2 month checkup she weighed in at 11 lb. 4 oz. and is now 23 inches long.  Stop growing already!  I love the newborn stage and it just passes by too quickly. 

 

 

 The quilt we used as a backdrop for these photos is a quilt made by Grandma Karen. She has made all the grand kids some pretty amazing quilts.  We love her work!

 

 Ella is really starting to show her personality through her face.  She is beginning to smile a lot and especially likes it when you make silly noises for her to smile at.  She loves the mobile music swing most of the time.  She isn't really attached to a Binky.  She'll take it usually when she's tired or hungry, but other than that she goes without.  Nothing like Baden who is still attached to that thing 24/7 if we would let him. 

 She's getting stronger and her neck muscles are holding up that big noggin' pretty well now.   I try to remember to do tummy time so she can work those muscles, but she really hates it.  Most of the time she starts crying. 

 

 

 

She is sleeping through the night, which is a huge blessing to us.  She has been sleeping through the night almost since we brought her home.  The last few days she has been waking up earlier than in the past.  I  think she's going through a big growth spurt because we can't seem to keep her little tummy filled and she wakes up ready to tackle the bottle like she hasn't eaten in days.  She's also been eating a lot more during the day so that is a good sign that she is healthy and growing.
